We went in for our first
pediatrician appointment today.
After the doctor weighed Esme, she held her above the exam table and had
her ‘walk’ over to us. She was a
little surprised when Esme put down a leg and lifted herself almost out of the
doctor’s grasp. The doctor was
even more surprised when she held Esme in a crawling position, and let Esme
take her own weight. She held
herself up for a couple of seconds before allowing gravity to pull her back
into the doctor’s hands.
“Well,” the doctor told us, “she’s
passed her four month check-up.”
Of course, we went home happy. Then Esme did a few dozen bicep curls
holding on to daddy’s finger. (Ask
Tina if you don’t believe me.)
